The Tab
http://www.theguardian.com/media/media-blog/2014/jan/10/tab-student-newspaper-website
Summary of the story: this article talks about a website called The Tab. Its mix of Buzzfeed-like humour and hyperlocal and this also has attracted its share of controversy. Students jourmnalist and interview are reported here and the quotes are then picked up from national newspapers. making it to the big headlines . Unlike so much student journalism, the site's content is lively, brash and, perhaps more importantly, perfectly designed for sharing on social media. For a student publication, it has had an impressive number of its stories covered in the nationals – from freedom of information requests on Cambridge University's disciplinary procedures to the viral "milking" craze.
key statistic and information:

  • reporting draws 1.3m users a month
  • 34 universities around the country
  • the pair landed £200,000 to expand the Tab nationally from four investor

My view on the story:
In my opinion, This is the future of media its the only way it can be monetised. The irony is that's its a load of Oxbridge graduates making a packet out of peddling trash (popular media) sounds familiar

My view on the story:
In my opinion I think that breaking bad is a great show but not that great to be on of the popular TV  dramas in 2013 as there are shows which are better bigger. This show is the most overrated show ever made.
